Production Company Research:
Production companies promote the films that they are backing. They all have a certain theme, depending upon the genre of the film that they are backing. For example, if the production company was promoting a horror film, they would include either paranormal aspects or something horror-based to indicate to the audience that they have produced a horror film.
Ghost House Productions: This production company produced horror films such as 'The Grudge' and 'Evil Dead'. It includes a skull appearing through a keyhole at attempts of frightening the audience, as that's the main 'go to' with horror films and also the skull is part of the horror family as it represents death, scare factor and a dark side.

Dark Castle Entertainment: Dark Castle is a Production Company from 1999. The name indicates horror and also it has a scary lighting effect on the gargoyle which then pans out to a silhouette of a castle. This is effective as it matches what it says in the title of the company and informs the audience of what genre they are about to watch.

Twisted Pictures Productions: This production company is really effective, especially as it uses the lexis 'twisted' and then uses barbed wire to tighten it's grip around the words, only to be blown up by lightening. The word "twisted" suggests that something horrible is going to appear, therefore making the audience know that the film they are about to watch is promoted by a horror production.

We created our own Production Company called "Lights Out Productions". This is relevant to our horror, as horror's are more edgier if they are produced in the dark and also our killer works under a single spotlight. Our Production Company video is 2 seconds long and features a live light bulb being smashed on a table in slow motion, it's really effective, as the glass flies everywhere and the titles appear.
